The city of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine is facing imminent threat of capture by Russian forces, which would strengthen Russia's hold on the Donbass region. Analysts believe that the fall of Pokrovsk could pave the way for Russia to secure control over the entire Donbass. The White House is considering providing long-range missiles to Ukraine, but has indicated that it does not see significant value in sending ATACMS systems at this time.
