CISA Adds One Known Exploited Vulnerability to Catalog

CISA has added a new vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog due to evidence of active exploitation. The vulnerability, CVE-2025-47812, is an improper neutralization of null byte or NUL character vulnerability in Wing FTP Server. This type of vulnerability is a frequent attack vector for malicious cyber actors and poses significant risks to the federal enterprise. The KEV Catalog is a living list of known vulnerabilities that carry significant risk to the federal enterprise, established by Binding Operational Directive (BOD) 22-01. BOD 22-01 requires Federal Civilian Executive Branch (FCEB) agencies to remediate identified vulnerabilities by the due date to protect FCEB networks against active threats. Although BOD 22-01 only applies to FCEB agencies, CISA strongly urges all organizations to prioritize timely remediation of KEV Catalog vulnerabilities as part of their vulnerability management practice. CISA will continue to add vulnerabilities to the catalog that meet the specified criteria. The KEV Catalog is a critical tool for reducing the risk of cyberattacks on federal networks. By prioritizing remediation of KEV Catalog vulnerabilities, organizations can significantly reduce their exposure to cyber threats. CISA's efforts to maintain the KEV Catalog aim to protect federal networks and encourage all organizations to take proactive measures against cyber threats.
