On September 25, 2024, from 1:27 to 12:28 AM US/Pacific, Mandiant Security Validation SaaS customers experienced an outage.
During this time, customers could not run or create new actions, sequences, or evaluations.
From 11:23 AM to 12:28 PM, users were unable to log in and were redirected to a maintenance page.
The outage was caused by a database implementation issue that exceeded a sequence column value limit.
Engineers were alerted at 1:41 AM and adjusted the column value limit to resolve the issue.
Google took Mandiant Security Validation SaaS briefly offline to make the necessary changes.
No data was lost during the outage, and the system was restored without any further issues.
Google is committed to preventing a recurrence and is reviewing system settings to ensure no similar issues occur in the future.
The outage impacted all global customers of Mandiant Security Validation.
