Alexa+ comes to the Amazon Music app

Amazon has launched its upgraded AI assistant, Alexa+, within the Amazon Music app for Alexa+ Early Access subscribers on iOS and Android. Users can access the chatbot by tapping the "A" button within the app and using natural language to discover music. Alexa+ enables complex searches based on lyrics, TV shows, specific eras, moods, instruments, and negative constraints. It also facilitates playlist creation, catering to specific or vague requests based on mood or time of day. Amazon is positioning Alexa+ as both a personal DJ and a music expert, capable of answering questions about song inspiration and chart performance. Alexa+ has been integrating into various Amazon devices, showcasing improved conversational skills but occasional errors. The Amazon Music integration is currently in early access for all subscription tiers. Eventually, Alexa+ will be free for Prime members. Non-Prime members will be able to access it for $20 per month.
