America's First Sodium-Ion Battery Manufacturer Ceases Operations

Natron Energy has halted all operations, including its Michigan manufacturing plant, due to unsuccessful fundraising efforts. The company had previously planned to build a large gigafactory in North Carolina. Sodium-ion battery technology offers advantages like faster charging and the use of abundant, less expensive materials. However, these benefits were not enough to secure the necessary funding for the company's expansion.
