Paramount's Call of Duty movie taps the writers of Yellowstone and Friday Night Lights

A Call of Duty movie adaptation is in development, set to bring the popular game franchise to the big screen. Taylor Sheridan and Peter Berg will be key creators behind the film. Both Sheridan and Berg previously collaborated on movies like Hell or High Water and Wind River. Berg is known for writing the Friday Night Lights, a football drama. Sheridan has worked on popular TV series such as Yellowstone, Lioness, and Tulsa King. Berg is slated to direct the Call of Duty film. Both will contribute as producers and co-writers for the project. There's currently no announcement about which era of the Call of Duty games the movie will focus on. The film's setting will likely be contemporary, based on the pair's previous work. Further details regarding the story and actors are still pending.
