iPhone 16: Edit Spatial Audio in Videos With Audio Mix

iPhone 16 models automatically enable Spatial Audio when recording video, allowing for more realistic and immersive audio. This feature also enables the Audio Mix feature in the Photos app, which uses machine learning to separate background audio and speech. The Audio Mix feature offers four options to remix video sound: Standard, In-Frame, Studio, and Cinematic. The Standard option plays the original audio, while In-Frame reduces sounds and voices from sources not visible in the video frame. The Studio option reduces background sounds and reverb, making it sound like a professional studio recording. The Cinematic option puts all voices onto a front-facing track and leaves environmental noises in surround. To edit audio using Audio Mix, open the Photos app, select a video, tap the Edit icon, and choose an Audio Mix option. A slider allows for adjusting the effect and background noise levels. After editing, tap Done to finish. Additionally, iPhone 16 models automatically reduce wind noise while recording video with Spatial Audio or Stereo, but this setting can be turned off in the Camera settings.
