Google has announced the general availability of Gemini on Google Distributed Cloud (GDC). This offering allows enterprises and governments to deploy Gemini's advanced AI models directly into their data centers. This eliminates the previous compromise between adopting modern AI and protecting sensitive data. Gemini on GDC is available in both air-gapped and connected environments, bringing generative AI capabilities on-premises. Customers like CSIT, GovTech, HTX, KDDI, and Liquid C2 are already leveraging this solution. Gemini models offer features like extensive context processing and native multimodal understanding. This enables use cases such as breaking down language barriers, accelerating decision-making, and improving employee efficiency. The GDC platform provides a complete end-to-end AI stack, including NVIDIA GPU accelerators and robust security features. It also supports a variety of models, including Gemini 2.5 Flash and Pro, Vertex AI task-specific models, and Gemma models. Customers can also deploy open-source or custom AI models and workloads through managed VMs and Kubernetes clusters.
