Apple Announces 'Find My' For South Korea

Apple announced plans to introduce its Find My service to South Korea in early 2025. The service, originally released in 2010, has been unavailable in South Korea, making it the last country without access to Apple's tracking feature. Users in South Korea have been complaining about the unavailability of the service, leading to a government petition in July 2024. Apple's statement on its Korean website confirms the introduction of the Find My network in Korea in the spring of 2025. The service will allow users to find their Apple devices and personal belongings, check the location of friends and family, and protect personal information. The Find My feature has been permanently disabled on iPhones sold in South Korea, even when users are in other countries. Apple previously cited "internal policy" as the reason for disabling the feature. The upcoming introduction of the Find My service in South Korea will bring the country in line with other countries where the feature is available.
