Microsoft Teams is introducing new features to make the platform smarter and easier to use. One new feature allows Copilot to source responses from both meeting transcripts and chat, ensuring that no questions or ideas are left behind. Another feature enables team owners to rename the "General" channel to a more meaningful title, improving the clarity and relevance of channel names. The updated teams and channels onboarding flow allows team owners to recommend specific channels to new members, making it easier for them to prioritize important channels. The "Shared" tab in chat consolidates files and links, making it easier to find and manage content. Image handling enhancements make image sharing in chat and channels more efficient and user-friendly. Copilot in Teams meetings can now review both the meeting transcript and the meeting chat to provide a complete picture of what was discussed. Meeting recaps and artifacts are automatically shared in Microsoft Outlook after a meeting, providing a summary of everything that happened. Interpreters using language interpretation in Teams can now indicate which language they are translating, making real-time translation more efficient. Finally, the new Mesh workshop environment provides an immersive space for collaboration, including a presentation area and four breakout rooms for group discussions.
