Join the 2024 Hacktoberfest Writing Challenge: Reflect on your Journey as a Contributor or Maintainer

Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open-source projects and community growth. This year, DEV is supporting the event by providing a space for maintainers and contributors to share their experiences and improve their writing skills. The Hacktoberfest Writing Challenge runs through November 03 and includes prompts for both maintainers and contributors. Maintainers are encouraged to share their experiences, including receiving valuable contributions and surprises, while contributors should reflect on what they learned and how they feel about their Hacktoberfest journey. Judging criteria include style, clarity, and originality, with winners receiving a 6-month DEV++ Membership, an exclusive DEV badge, and a gift from the DEV Shop. All participants with valid submissions will receive a completion badge on their DEV profile. The challenge has specific rules and guidelines, including eligibility requirements, and important dates for submissions and winner announcements.
