NPR, or National Public Radio, is an American public broadcasting organization that produces and distributes news and cultural programming. It operates independently of any government or corporation and is funded by member station dues, corporate sponsorships, and grants. NPR’s flagship shows include “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered,” which are among the most popular radio programs in the United States. The content is available on-demand online, on mobile networks, and as podcasts. NPR also manages the Public Radio Satellite System, distributing its programs and other content from independent producers and networks.
