PGA Awards movie nominations pit Chalamet against Chalamet

The Producers Guild of America has announced its nominees for the 2025 PGA Awards, which recognize the PGA's favorites in movies and television. The nominees were largely in line with last week's Golden Globes, with a few surprises in the movie and television categories. The movie side saw snubs for Nickle Boys and Challengers, while the streaming movie race was more interesting with nominations for John Woo's remake of The Killer and Unfrosted. On the TV side, the nominees were mostly the same as the Golden Globes, with the exception of the lack of Squid Game and the addition of Bad Sisters. The PGA Awards will take place on February 8, 2025, and will recognize producers in various categories, including theatrical motion pictures, animated theatrical motion pictures, and episodic television. The nominees for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures include Anora, The Brutalist, and Wicked. The PGA also announced a partnership with the Entertainment Community Fund, committing $300,000 to media people affected by L.A.'s ongoing wildfires. The nominees for the TV categories include Bad Sisters, The Diplomat, and Abbott Elementary, among others. The PGA Awards will also recognize producers in non-fiction television, live entertainment, and game and competition television, with nominees including 30 for 30, The Daily Show, and The Amazing Race. The full list of nominees can be found in the various categories, including the Award for Outstanding Producer of Televised or Streamed Motion Pictures and the Award for Outstanding Producer of Game & Competition Television.
