Researchers have successfully synthesized and characterized the first copper-hydride nanocluster. This nanocluster, represented by the formula [Cu47(PhSe)15(PPh3)5(CF3COO)12H12], contains eight free valence electrons. Spectroscopic analysis confirms the unique electronic and structural properties of this novel material. This breakthrough expands the understanding and application of copper-hydride chemistry at the nanoscale.
