The OnePlus 13 has a bigger battery and an upgraded fingerprint reader

OnePlus has officially announced its new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 13, which will go on sale in China starting November 1st. The global release is expected later. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and features an upgraded vapor cooling system. It comes in configurations ranging from ¥4,499 (around $632) for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage to ¥5,999 (around $843) for 24GB RAM and a full terabyte. The OnePlus 13 boasts a new 6,000mAh battery with silicon carbon technology, offering more power density than traditional lithium polymer batteries. It supports 100W charging with a USB-C cable and 50W wireless charging, as well as reverse charging for other devices. The phone features a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and refresh rates up to 120Hz. The display also features subtle curves on all four sides. The OnePlus 13 has improved water and dust resistance with an IP69 rating, and an enhanced ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the display for better performance in low-light conditions. On the back, there are three 50MP cameras with Hasselblad branding, including a main camera, telephoto zoom, and ultra-wide angle option. Other features include full-area NFC, enhanced Bluetooth range, and a large vibration motor for gaming. The phone will be available in blue, white, and obsidian colorways, with magnetic cases also available.
