A supernatural detective mystery, FMV terror and other new indie games worth checking out

This week's indie game roundup features new releases and upcoming titles across various genres. A collaborative game called Asses.Masses was highlighted for its unique social experiment. New releases include the supernatural detective game The Séance of Blake Manor, and the FMV interactive film The Run. Orbyss, a puzzle game where you switch between orbs, is also now available after a decade in development. Ron Gilbert's roguelite Death by Scrolling offers a unique vertical scrolling experience. Upcoming games include Golden Retriever Simple Life, an FMV game where you care for a dog. The precision platformer Egging On is set to release soon and will be available on Game Pass. Anchor, a multiplayer survival game set in a post-nuclear ocean, promises large-scale player interaction. Agni: Village of Calamity, a survival horror game rooted in Indonesian folklore, is slated for 2026. Finally, The Florist, a fixed-camera survival horror game about delivering flowers amidst a floral affliction, is also scheduled for release in 2026.
