Apple is expanding its digital car key feature to include Jetour vehicles. This feature, launched in 2022, allows users to unlock their cars using an iPhone or Apple Watch. A digital car key is stored within the Wallet app for convenient access. Users can unlock their vehicles by simply holding their Apple device near the car's NFC reader. Face ID authentication can be used for security, or Express Mode can enable faster unlocking. Several major car manufacturers, including BMW, Kia, and Audi, already support Apple's Car Keys. Apple recently announced that thirteen new brands would soon offer this functionality. Jetour, a Chinese carmaker, is a subsidiary of Chery, a brand previously mentioned by Apple. While Apple maintains a list of compatible vehicles, it is not always up-to-date. This development indicates growing adoption of digital car key technology.
