Creative Labs has introduced the Sound Blaster Re:Imagine, a modular audio hub, through a Kickstarter campaign. This device aims to simplify audio routing between various sources and outputs with customizable controls. Users can connect gaming consoles, PCs, instruments, and different audio devices like speakers and headphones. The Re:Imagine features a base unit with magnetic modules, including a screen and various control options. It boasts an octa-core processor, ample RAM, storage, and expandability, supporting high-fidelity audio output. The hub runs on Linux offering both standalone and PC-connected functionality. It also includes AI DJ features, a DOS emulator, and one-tap recording capabilities. The Re:Imagine is developer-friendly, offering an SDK for custom app creation and sharing. The default Horizon base has five slots, with an expanded Vertex base at a stretch goal. The Kickstarter campaign will continue through December, with an estimated shipping date in July 2026.
