Dropbox is bringing its Dash AI features into the main app

Dropbox is incorporating AI features from its Dash product into its main app. This integration provides users with enhanced search, summarization, and contextual answer capabilities. The initial rollout includes smarter search functionality, allowing users to find information more efficiently within their Dropbox files. The AI allows for natural language queries, enabling users to search using descriptive phrases. Users can request summaries of specific files and identify recent changes using the AI assistant. This update aims to improve productivity for Dropbox users by helping them quickly find and understand their content. The features are initially available to a limited group, with a wider release planned in the coming months. Dropbox is collaborating with Mobius Labs to expand the AI's search capabilities to include videos, audio, and images. Those interested can join a waitlist to access the new AI features in the Dropbox app. The standalone Dash app is also now available to teams of all sizes regardless of their Dropbox subscription.
