Everything New in iOS 26.2 Beta 1

Apple is already testing iOS 26.2, shortly after releasing iOS 26.1, with several new features. A notable feature is the "Liquid Glass" slider for customizing the clock appearance on the Lock Screen. Apple has adjusted the Sleep Score ranges in iOS and watchOS to better reflect sleep quality. iOS 26.2 expands AirPods Live Translation to the European Union, following legal requirements. Freeform gains Tables support, while Reminders introduces alarm options for urgency. The Podcasts app gets new features like auto-generated chapters and transcript integration. iOS 26.2 hints at a new AirDrop feature extending file sharing using unique PINs. The Weather app now supports relative time for alerts, improving user understanding of conditions. Apple News gets design updates, adding category buttons. The Flash for Alerts setting now includes a screen flash option. Furthermore, the update brings an Enhanced Safety Alerts section in Settings. iOS 26.2 is currently available for developers, with a public beta expected soon, targeting a December release.
