IT teams face risks from prompt injection and jailbreaking in rapidly developing AI. Model Armor is a security solution designed to safeguard generative AI prompts, responses, and agent interactions. It offers various integration options, including direct API integration and inline integrations. Integrating Model Armor with Apigee provides a strong security layer for AI applications. Model Armor has five primary capabilities: prompt injection and jailbreak detection, sensitive data protection, malicious URL detection, harmful content filtering, and document screening. It is model-independent and cloud-agnostic, working via REST APIs. To get started, users enable the Model Armor API in the Google Cloud console, creating a template and service account. They then create an Apigee Proxy and add Model Armor policies. You can configure logging within Model Armor templates for more details. The AI Protection dashboard in the Security Command Center allows viewing findings. Setting floor settings defines the minimum security requirements for templates. Finally, Model Armor can log administrative activities that can be viewed in Cloud Logging.
