Logitech is going after keyboard snobs with the hot-swappable Alto Keys K98M

Logitech is releasing its Alto Keys K98M keyboard in US markets after its prior availability in Asia. This hot-swappable keyboard is priced at $119 and represents Logitech's re-entry into the enthusiast keyboard space. The Alto Keys K98M features pre-installed hot-swappable Logi Marble linear switches, a departure from their last notable hot-swappable model in 2019. Designed for workspaces, it eschews flashy RGB lighting for a translucent frame and white backlighting. It incorporates a UniCushion design with a gasket mount to absorb typing vibrations for a better feel and sound. Beyond switch customization, three programmable action keys offer further personalization. The first three function keys double as Easy-Switch buttons for seamlessly toggling between up to three devices. The keyboard offers wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and iPadOS. Users can expect up to a year of battery life with backlighting disabled. The Alto Keys K98M can be used while charging via its USB-C port.
