St Cleer Holy Well in St Cleer, England

This 15th-century granite well house still contains a well basin of clear water that is reputed to cure the lame, the blind and the insane. Unfortunately, a metal grating prevents you from immersing yourself and washing away these ailments today, but there is still lots to admire, including a rather stern, robed figure keeping its 500-year-old eyes on things.
