Trump Says Nvidia's Blackwell AI Chips Will Be On Agenda In Talks With China's Xi

Donald Trump announced he would discuss Nvidia's Blackwell AI chips with China's Xi Jinping. This news caused Nvidia's stock to rise in premarket trading. Trump praised the "super duper" quality of the Blackwell chip. The meeting sparked optimism that export restrictions on the chips might be eased. Nvidia currently faces a near-total ban on exporting advanced AI chips to China. Previously, Trump allowed sales of H20 chips to China but with a revenue cut. Meanwhile, Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang highlighted significant revenue projections at the GTC Live conference. Goldman Sachs analysts positively assessed Nvidia's forward-looking statements about data center revenue. Nvidia revealed new partnerships and provided guidance for substantial cumulative data center revenue in 2025-26. Nvidia also announced a $1 billion equity investment in Nokia and other ventures. The Bank of England, however, warns of potential financial risks related to AI investment.
