Ukraine Will Receive $2 Billion More In US Weapons In Coming Months

The US Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, urged Russia to end the war in Ukraine. Whitaker stated that President Trump possesses "more cards to play", including additional sanctions on Russia. He highlighted the upcoming delivery of $2 billion in US weapons to Ukraine in the coming months. Whitaker mentioned plans to raise $12 to $15 billion in 2026 for Ukraine’s critical armament needs. This amount is significantly less than the $120 billion Ukraine estimates it needs annually for the war. President Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine's budget can only cover half of these war costs. Whitaker also praised the recent US sanctions on Russia's major oil companies. He believes that Russia is weak and should end the war immediately. Whitaker suggested that President Trump will continue to exert pressure, including the possibility of further oil sanctions. According to Whitaker, Russia is not showing strength and appears weak.
