To access the latest advancements, developers must migrate from PGS v1 to PGS v2 by May 2026. Achievements are being transformed to drive discovery and engagement, with a minimum of 15 achievements recommended to show progress. Games that offer 40 or more achievements with diverse goals have been most successful in driving engagement. Play activates quests to reward players for completing achievements, leading to an average 177% uplift in installs.
