Sudden vs Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest in Apparently Healthy, Young Adults

To the Editor A recent JAMA Review article identified the incidence of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) in adults younger than 40 years as ranging from 4.4 to 14.4 per 100 000 and the rate of survival to discharge as 9% to 16%.
