Zohran Mamdani, a self-proclaimed socialist, used CNN as a platform to denounce capitalism, which has lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty and fueled rapid technological innovation. Mamdani's anti-American rhetoric is concerning, especially given his foreign influence or ideology imported from an adversary. He has stated that he doesn't think billionaires should exist and wants to seize the means of production. A recent New York Post opinion piece exposed a troubling connection behind Mamdani's rise, including a key backer with ties to extremist and terror-linked groups. David Duhalde, a longtime socialist operative, worked for the NYC Campaign Finance Board and backed Mamdani's mayoral run. Duhalde has ties to socialist regimes in Venezuela and Cuba and has partnered with Friends of Socialist China and The People's Forum. He also has a romantic partner who is a member of Samidoun, a front group for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.-designated terrorist organization. Mamdani's "grassroots revolution" was actually a $10.2 million corporate political operation, raising questions about transparency to New York voters. Mamdani's anti-American rhetoric stems from his ties to far-left international groups, either directly or indirectly, which have raised alarm bells. The connections to foreign adversaries and questionable groups are concerning and warrant further investigation.
