You Can Make Your Own Chatbot With Meta's 'AI Studio'

Last year, Meta announced several AI updates for Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, including AI stickers, image editing, celebrity chatbots, and a Meta AI assistant. They also introduced AI Studio, a platform for developers to create custom AI bots for Meta products. Now, Meta is expanding AI Studio access to all users, allowing anyone to create their own AI bots without coding experience. Users can design bots for specific tasks, such as cooking advice or gardening tips, and creators can make custom AI versions of themselves to interact with fans. AI Studio uses Meta's latest Llama 3.1 AI model, aiming for high performance. Despite existing issues with AI, like generating inaccurate information, curious users can build or try bots created by others. To create a bot, users can log into Meta's AI Studio via Instagram, browse existing bots, or start building one. They can choose preset personalities or customize their bot’s character, name, and appearance. After creation, the bot appears in Instagram DMs, where users can adjust settings and provide specific instructions for the bot's responses.
