Apple will reportedly demo its 'Liquid Glass' interface redesign with 'see-through visuals' at WWDC

Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil a major UI overhaul called "Liquid Glass" that features a glassy surface with transparency and shine effects in toolbars, in-app interfaces, and controls. This redesign is rare for Apple, with the last major change occurring with iOS 7. The new design language may be ready for the 20th anniversary of the iPhone next year, which is expected to have curved glass sides, and extraordinarily slim bezels with no cutout section in the screen. The Liquid Glass design could unify the look of Apple's interfaces across all devices, making it less visually jarring when switching between devices like the Vision Pro and iPhone. The visual change is expected to align across iOS 26, macOS, watchOS, iPadOS, and tvOS. Apple's Liquid Glass is expected to debut during WWDC 2025, which starts on June 9. The new design may draw inspiration from the Apple Vision Pro. The 20th anniversary iPhone is expected to have a more streamlined look. The Liquid Glass design is expected to be a major visual shift for Apple's devices. The WWDC 2025 event will likely showcase the new design and its features.
