Enhanced monitoring of Amazon EKS with Elastic add-on capabilities

Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) simplifies running Kubernetes on AWS, but as workloads grow, monitoring and observability become crucial. Elastic Agent provides a unified way to collect logs, metrics, and security data from EKS clusters, managed through Elastic Fleet. To set up Elastic Agent on EKS, deploy the agent in a pod, which automatically enrolls with Fleet using specified configuration values. Fleet provides control over the agent, including health status, integration configuration, and data ingestion. This setup enables centralized observability and security by ingesting and analyzing data in Elasticsearch, with visualization and management through Kibana. To deploy Elastic Agent on EKS, follow the process outlined in Elastic's official documentation. First, apply the configuration and deploy the add-on to the EKS cluster. It is recommended to select configuration Override. The Elastic Agent is then deployed in a pod, and Fleet provides full control over the agent. With Elastic Agent and Fleet, users can achieve robust monitoring and observability for their EKS clusters.
