Apple Releases First Firmware Update for Beats Pill

Apple released a firmware update (2C336, version 2.2) for the Beats Pill speaker. This is the first update since its June 2024 launch. The update's contents remain undisclosed by Apple. The Beats Pill, launched this year, replaced the discontinued Beats Pill+. It costs $150 and boasts new features. These include an updated speaker system, a removable lanyard, and USB-C connectivity. The speaker is IP67 water-resistant and offers a 24-hour battery life. It's compatible with both Apple and Android devices. It also supports Find My location tracking. The update installs wirelessly while charging and connected to a compatible device with Wi-Fi. Android users require the Beats app and a power connection for the update.
