Chase has announced new perks for its premium Sapphire Reserve credit card, including complimentary annual subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Apple Music, valued at up to $250 per year. The perk does not apply to Apple One subscription bundles, and existing Apple One subscribers will continue to be charged monthly. The complimentary subscriptions will run through June 22, 2027. If you're already paying for Apple TV+ and/or Apple Music directly through Apple, those subscriptions will be automatically suspended during the offer period. The new perk comes with an increased annual fee of $795, up from $550, which effectively offsets the value of the complimentary subscriptions. However, Chase claims the card now offers over $2,700 in annual value with its additional perks. New Sapphire Reserve cardholders can earn a welcome bonus of 100,000 points, worth over $1,000, and a $500 travel credit after spending $5,000 in the first three months. The points can be redeemed for travel, cash back, or other rewards. The increased annual fee and new perks aim to provide more value to cardholders despite the higher cost. Overall, the changes are designed to make the Sapphire Reserve card more competitive in the premium credit card market.
