The Netflix film adaptation of Keanu Reeves’ BRZRKR now has its director

Netflix has hired Justin Lin, director of the Fast & Furious franchise, to direct its upcoming live-action movie adaptation of BRZRKR, a popular comic book series created by Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt. The comic follows the story of an immortal warrior who has fought for 80,000 years and is looking for a way to end his immortality. Netflix announced plans to adapt BRZRKR into both a live-action movie and an anime series in 2021, with Reeves set to star in the movie and voice his character in the anime. Since the initial announcement, there have been few updates on the projects. In the meantime, Reeves and author China Miéville released a new book, The Book of Elsewhere, which expands on the BRZRKR lore. The live-action movie and anime series are expected to feature plenty of action and violence. Mattson Tomlin, showrunner of Terminator Zero, is writing the script for both the movie and anime adaptations. There is currently no release date set for either project. The BRZRKR comic series follows the story of "B", a half-mortal, half-god man who has fought his way through 80,000 years of life. By the time he takes a job killing for the US government, he is tired of his immortality and seeking a way out.
