Trump Says Incoming CBS Owner Will Provide $20 Million In Ads In Addition To Paramount Settlement

Skydance, the future owner of CBS, will reportedly provide $20 million in ads or PSAs as part of the settlement. This is in addition to a $16 million settlement already reached with Paramount for Trump's presidential library. Trump alleges "60 Minutes" deceptively edited the interview to favor Harris during the 2024 election. The lawsuit claims the broadcast manipulated Harris's responses to make her appear more coherent. "60 Minutes" denies the allegation, stating they edited the interview for clarity and brevity. The program maintains both shows used the same question and answer, but different portions of the response. Skydance is set to merge with Paramount to form a new company led by David Ellison. Trump accuses CBS of distorting the interview to commercially benefit the network. Trump declined an invitation to be interviewed on "60 Minutes" before the 2024 election.
