Noem Accuses Anti-ICE App Developer Of Obstructing Justice; Leavitt Blasts CNN For "Promoting" It

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stated that the "ICEBlock" app, which alerts users of immigration enforcement operations, appears to constitute obstruction of justice. Noem warned that the app puts ICE agents in danger, citing a 500% increase in assaults against them. She threatened that anyone obstructing or assaulting law enforcement would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The app was created by tech developer Joshua Aaron to push back against President Donald Trump's ICE raids. ICEBlock allows users to report suspected ICE sightings anonymously and has gained over 20,000 users. Aaron compared ICE raids to Nazi Germany's operations, stating that he wanted to "fight back" against what was happening in the country. The app does not collect personal data, and users can report ICE sightings anonymously. During a White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt criticized CNN for promoting the app, which she believed incited violence against ICE officers. Leavitt emphasized that ICE agents are trying to remove public safety threats from communities and deserve gratitude.
