AWS IoT SiteWise Query API adds advanced SQL support and ODBC driver

AWS IoT SiteWise Query API has been upgraded with advanced SQL capabilities for deeper industrial data analysis. The enhancements include string manipulation, aggregation functions, multi-field sorting, and datetime operations. An ODBC driver is introduced for direct integration with BI tools like Tableau and Power BI. This allows for improved data visualization and reporting without custom code. Customers can now execute complex queries for insights, like analyzing average boiler temperatures. The enhanced feature is available in several AWS regions across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the US. The ODBC driver is compatible with Windows. AWS IoT SiteWise facilitates the collection, storage, and analysis of industrial equipment data at scale.
