Apple Intelligence at WWDC: Everything Apple announced for iOS, macOS and more

Apple has announced new features for its Apple Intelligence suite, including upgrades to Genmoji and Image Playground, live translation, and enhanced Visual Intelligence. Image Playground will allow users to generate colorful backgrounds for group chats and produce images in different styles using ChatGPT. Genmoji will enable users to combine two emoji to create new characters. Live translation will be available in Messages, FaceTime, and the Phone app, allowing for instant language translation. Visual Intelligence will also be upgraded to scan what's on the screen, allowing users to ask ChatGPT questions or search for images or products. Developers will be able to use Apple's on-device foundational model for their own apps. An upgraded Shortcuts app will also be available, supporting actions powered by Apple Intelligence. Other enhancements include automatic summarization of tracking details and support for actions powered by Apple Intelligence in the Shortcuts app. Despite failing to meet expectations, Apple is continuing to iterate on its AI tools.
