007 First Light is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on March 27

A recent PlayStation State of Play revealed details about IO Interactive's James Bond game, 007 First Light. The game is scheduled for release on March 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Gameplay footage showcased Bond stealthily navigating a hotel and engaging in an explosive shootout after a car chase. A unique mechanic allows Bond to get a license to kill when enemies are about to fire. The gameplay also highlighted Bond's ability to use distractions, gadgets, and NPC interaction to complete objectives, offering multiple approaches similar to the Hitman series. The cast was also announced, featuring Patrick Gibson as James Bond, Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny, Lennie James as John Greenway, and Noemie Nakai as Miss Roth. Product placement is also a notable feature in the game. Pre-orders are currently available for the $70 base edition. Pre-ordering the base edition grants a free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition, which includes 24 hours of early access along with exclusive cosmetic items.
