The study revealed eight capability patterns leading to three key outcomes: faster progress, smarter work, and maintained control. These patterns encompass status updates, work routing, team communication, and role-specific agents within existing communication tools. Conversational context awareness and role-based access control are also vital, alongside governed environments and collaborative agent creation. Key observations included AI integration within chat platforms, the growing importance of governance, and team-based agent development. The most successful platforms focus on designing a unified team experience rather than isolated agent capabilities.
