Logos Space Services, hoping to rival Starlink, received FCC approval to launch over 4,000 broadband satellites by 2035. The FCC mandates that Logos deploy half of its satellites within the next seven years. Milo Medin, formerly from NASA and Google, leads Logos, which began fundraising in 2023. Logos aims to launch its inaugural satellite by 2027 to provide global broadband internet. This service will target various users, including government and enterprise. The satellite broadband market is expanding, yet Starlink currently dominates the industry. Starlink's constellation already comprises approximately 9,600 operational satellites. SpaceX has requested permission to launch a million more. The ESA anticipates a substantial increase, forecasting 100,000 satellites in orbit by 2030.
