Actin based cell chirality emerging at the boundary of 2D-microtissue directs chiral multicellular pattern formation
Based on chiral self-organisation of actin fibres in confined cells of varied shapes, a model for cell alignment in 2D microtissues was validated, in which cell chirality emerges at boundaries and propagates inward, guiding multicellular chirality.
