ADAR-based DNA adenine base editing with single-nucleotide precision
Adenosine deaminases acting on RNA (ADARs) have not been previously exploited for DNA adenine base editing in mammals. We developed a single-nucleotide-resolution adenine base editor (snuABE) that uses ADAR and customized guide RNAs to precisely convert adenines to guanines on DNA targets with minimal bystander editing.
