AirPods Pro 4 Could Feature Cameras to 'See Around You'

Rumors suggest that the next-generation AirPods Pro will feature cameras, likely for enhanced functionality. Leaker Kosutami indicates these new AirPods Pro could "see" around the user. Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo points to at least one infrared camera in the 2026 AirPods Pro for gesture control and spatial audio improvements. These new AirPods Pro might be priced at $249, according to Kosutami. Another Chinese leaker, Instant Digital, suggests these will be a high-end variant of the AirPods Pro 3, not a complete replacement. This would create a higher-priced model alongside the existing AirPods Pro 3, similar to Apple's approach with AirPods 4. Apple could be aiming to compete with higher-end Bluetooth earbuds from other brands. Kuo previously reported on the plan to introduce a successor to the AirPods Pro 3 in 2026. Apple's usual hardware refresh cycle for AirPods is around three years. The announcement timing for these new AirPods is still uncertain, but Apple typically unveils new AirPods in the second half of the year, likely at an iPhone event.
