Listen, I know we're going light on the sweets after Christmas (my body is 73% gingerbread cookie at this point), but I am here to give you an excuse for cake - Epiphany on January 6th.
The great thing about this Galette des Rois, or French King Cake, is that it's easy to make and not too heavy. No frosting, no cake pans, no crumb coating.
You will need to decide if you want to make the almond version or the chocolate version.
