Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals adds AI-powered Synthetics debugging

Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals introduces a new capability to automatically debug synthetic monitoring failures using AI. The integration incorporates CloudWatch Synthetics canary monitoring into the Application Signals audit framework. DevOps teams can query AI assistants like Amazon Q about canary failures in natural language. The system distinguishes between canary infrastructure problems and actual service issues. It correlates canary failures with service health metrics, traces, and dependencies. The system analyzes network issues, authentication failures, and performance problems, among other areas. It compares HAR files, analyzes CloudWatch logs, and examines S3 artifacts. This analysis significantly reduces the time to resolve synthetic monitoring issues. The feature is available in all commercial AWS regions where CloudWatch Synthetics is offered.
