Amazon Corretto 27, a new feature release, is now available for download. Corretto is Amazon's free, multi-platform, production-ready OpenJDK distribution. This release includes G1 as the default garbage collector for consistent performance. It also features post-quantum hybrid key exchange for enhanced TLS 1.3 security. Compact object headers are now enabled by default to improve memory efficiency. Data redaction is added for Java Flight Recorder to protect sensitive information. Enhanced pattern matching, supporting primitive types, continues in preview. Structured concurrency is also refined in its preview state for better error handling. Lazy constants are available in preview for deferred initialization of immutable data. The Vector API, supporting high-performance mathematical operations, remains in incubator.
