Amazon EC2 R6in and R6idn instances are now available in an additional region

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) R6in and R6idn instances are now available in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region. Powered by 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors and built on the AWS Nitro System, these instances offer up to 200 Gbps network bandwidth and 2x higher packet-processing performance than comparable fifth-generation instances. They are ideal for network-intensive workloads like databases, in-memory caches, and big data analytics. R6in and R6idn instances come in 10 sizes, with up to 128 vCPUs, 1024 GiB of memory, and up to 100 Gbps of Amazon EBS bandwidth. They support Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) networking on larger sizes. R6idn instances provide up to 7.6 TB of high-speed, low-latency instance storage. Customers can purchase these instances through Savings Plans, Reserved, On-Demand, and Spot instances.
