Amazon will soon be streaming Trump’s ‘The Apprentice’ reality show

Amazon's Prime Video will start streaming the first seven seasons of The Apprentice, a reality TV show that helped launch Donald Trump's national profile. The show's first season is available now, with subsequent seasons premiering every week until late April. The Apprentice, which debuted in 2004, and its spinoff Celebrity Apprentice, propelled Trump to national stardom despite his business struggles in the 1990s. The show featured contestants competing for a job with The Trump Organization and showcased Trump's business acumen. Trump expressed enthusiasm for the news, saying it was a "learning experience" and that he looked forward to watching the show again. Amazon's decision to stream The Apprentice is seen as an attempt to strengthen its relationship with Trump, which was strained during his first term. This move follows Amazon's announcement of a new documentary about Melania Trump and its decision to donate $1 million to Trump's inauguration fund. Amazon also streamed Trump's inauguration on its Prime Video service, valued at another $1 million. The company's attempts to build a relationship with Trump have sparked controversy, including a recent editorial policy change at The Washington Post, which Amazon founder Jeff Bezos owns. A columnist at The Washington Post resigned in protest of the new policy, which limits the topics covered by the paper's opinion section.
