AMD Blames Motherboard Makers For Burnt-Out CPUs

The 7800X3D processor was particularly problematic on ASRock motherboards, with numerous reported failures. AMD executives acknowledged the issues in an interview with Quasar Zone. They attributed the failures to motherboard manufacturers not adhering to AMD's recommended specifications. Some manufacturers, in the past, increased default power settings to boost performance. These aggressive settings, however, could lead to instability and damage in higher-end CPUs. The increased power settings can cause problems, especially with these high-end processors.
